T3D now offers the Universal 3D Format (U3D) as part of our service, the main advantage of U3D is its ability to be embedded into Adobe Acrobat 7.00. Adobe's support for U3D will allow users of Acrobat 7.0 Professional to place U3D objects -- such as 3D graphic product designs or environments -- inside PDF files where they can be viewed and fully interacted with by anyone with free Adobe Reader 7.0 software. Adobe has distributed more than half-a-billion copies of Adobe Reader since its 1993 introduction.
What this means is that T3D can produce the models and help Manufacturers who face increasing pressure to boost innovation, reduce costs, and accelerate time to market. To improve decision-making in the early stages and reduce costly rework in the later stages of the product lifecycle, manufacturers must streamline design collaboration among dispersed extended product teams. By distributing 3D designs and other related project information more securely and reliably, manufacturers can effectively manage and incorporate feedback from a wider group. T3D solutions help manufacturers convert and publish 3D content to accurately communicate design intent, shortening cycle time and providing the competitive advantage manufacturers need to deliver better quality products to market, faster.
